Well Hello again

I have been so busy, I have not had time to log in for a while but now I am back.

We have been busy getting our grading sorted for the welsh tourist board not an easy task, the standards are very high, but we have established them and we are now the owners of a top of the range 3 star grading. Unfortunatley we could not get 4 or 5 star as we do not have all ensuite bedrooms, so the next challenge is to start the ball rolling so we can have all ensuite bedrooms, and ultimatley upgrade the grading.

Well weather has been great down in sunny Porthcawl until now it is just starting to change, and all the staff at Blue Seas are busy spring cleaning after the summer. We are also getting ready for the annual Raleigh race and welcoming our european guests that come each year, yet another fab event for Porthcawl which seems to grow year by year, Raleigh is on the weekend of the 23/10/09 if your a car enthusiast may be worth checking it out.

Well the Elvis weekend has come to an end and we at Blue Seas Guest House or for this weekend only, (The Blue Suede shoes Hotel) are missing them already, everyone has already started booking for next year, so if you want to join in the fun now is the time to start planning. The official word is that we are now one of the biggest Elvis Festivals in the world. Robin and I had a wonderful time at the Hi Tide where they had Elvis tribute artists on in every room, all through the day and night and when they ran out of rooms they erected a marquis and filled that with artists all day, the grand Pavillion put on nightly shows and hosted the best Elvis competition. The Brentwood Hotel or this time of the year, The Heartbreak Hotel also had a fun packed agenda full of Elvis Tribute artists for the whole four days. There was of course many more venues but you could not possibly mention them all, why not come and see for yourselves next year.

Annual Elvis Festival comes to Porthcawl

Well the time as come once again, when the world flocks to Porthcawl to enjoy the fun created with hundreds of Elvis impersonaters and fans reliving the Elvis era. We are fortunate at Blueseas as lots of the artists come to stay with us, so we get to enjoy them on all levels. For those who enjoy Elvis music and memorabilia this event is a must . In every venue and steetcorner there is fun and entertainment to be found and people rocking and rolling to the sound of the King.
